Let 16 Mile Dental Fix Your Teeth!

When it comes to tooth decay, catching it early can make all the difference.

By taking action as soon as decay is seen visually or on an xray, it can often be repaired with minimal damage to healthy tooth structure. Dr. Sama firmly believes in a conservative approach to dentistry, making 16 Mile Dental an easy choice when choosing a dentist to treat your family. Along with conservative treatment, we thoroughly explain all treatment to our patients before proceeding with anything. We take as much time as required for you to thoroughly understand treatment procedures, associated costs and insurance coverage. To us, one of the most important aspects of treatment is making sure the patient trusts and feels comfortable pursuing the treatment they need and deserve!

Fillings

If your tooth has a cavity, it may require the cavity to be removed and a filling to replace it. All fillings are done to match your tooth colour perfectly, so no one will ever know! Dr. Sama’s expertise in conservative fillings and colour matching will be sure to have you leaving the office in a healthier, happier oral state.

Crowns

If your tooth is partially broken, if the tooth has had root canal treatment, or if there is a large, existing, broken-down filling, your tooth may require a crown to be restored properly. Crowns can be made of gold, porcelain fused to metal, or pure white porcelain (to resemble a natural tooth).

Root Canal

You may require a root canal if a cavity progresses and damages the nerve of your tooth, or for chronic, unsolved tooth pain. As Dr. Sama is extremely meticulous and detailed, she has been known to have a calm and effective technique when treating root canals. After treatment, the tooth no longer has a nerve to provide its blood supply for strength and support, so a crown is always recommended to prevent chipping or cracking of the tooth.

Bridges

If your tooth is badly decayed and needs to be removed, or if you have missing tooth, we could talk about filling the space with a bridge. Like the crown, a bridge is also made of gold, porcelain fused to metal, or pure white porcelain (to resemble a natural tooth). The bridge connects to both teeth on each side of the space and fills in the space with a tooth-like structure.
