Dr. Sama Salim

I once believed that architecture was my destined lifelong career. My father, an artist and mechanical engineer, inspired my love of science and natural creativity. Like him, I spent countless hours drawing and creating unique works of art. From my mother, a statistician, I inherited traits of logic, reason, organization, communication, and structure. This combination of strengths gave me a versatile foundation that shaped my future.However, a love for the arts, sciences, and structure alone was not enough to ignite my passion. As someone who thrives on connecting with people, empowering them, educating them, and helping them tackle challenges to see the world in a brighter light, I found myself drawn more and more to dentistry. It became clear that this field offered the personal fulfillment and lifelong commitment I was seeking.Dentists are like architects, crafting structures that connect to the human soul. Just as buildings with glimmering windows provide a brighter view of the world, radiant smiles illuminate lives. A smile reflects emotions, personality, and even physical health in interactions with others. When I meet patients who avoid smiling, I find immense satisfaction in helping them rediscover their inner beauty, enabling them to leave feeling more confident and radiant.My knowledge and skills have grown immensely through earning my DMD degree from the University of British Columbia. I welcome challenges as opportunities to learn and contribute, further enhancing my role as a healthcare professional committed to promoting dental health and overall wellness. I actively participate in continuing education courses to stay updated and expand my expertise as a clinician. I take pride in practicing dentistry with high ethical standards and delivering quality care to my patients.Outside of dentistry, I enjoy photography, exploring the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with my husband, Ahmad, and our lovely daughters, Mariam and Fatima.Thank you for visiting our website.
